John R Boone has supplied a number of mixer processors to investment casting specialist Clan Ceramics for its high-temperature multi-stage mixing and vacuum processing.
The mixers supplied are based on a horizontal paddle blade mixer (HPBM) and are used to form a paste at high temperature (140?C) over a number of stages including a vacuum/deaeration stage to provide a homogenous, air-free ceramic material for the investment casting process.
JR Boone produces a variety of mixer processors and in this case the mixer was based on the company’s standard HPBM fitted with an integrated hot oil jacket heating system and a vacuum system with integral PLC/HMI control panel.
Boone mixers are designed and manufactured to be easy to install and operate. They are in in use 24/7 in process plants worldwide, delivering high availability and low running costs, says the company.
