Midlands family firm MNB Precision has won a second industry award in two months, scooping the National Manufacturer of the Year prize in this year’s Insider made in the UK Awards.
The precision engineering firm had already won the Midlands Manufacturer of the Year last month, for its success in trebling turnover since 2017.
Insider Awards judges praised the firm for its “amazing growth and ability to steer a steady course through difficult times”.
Managing director Luke Benton [pictured], who runs the business together with brother Elliot, said: “Precision engineering is in our blood, and Elliot and I have been determined to make a success of the business, steering it towards a business model that reflects the needs of today’s modern industries.
“We were thrilled with our regional award, but to go one better and win the national award is an amazing triumph.”
MNB Precision has invested heavily in equipment in the last year, spending £0.75 million in the last 12 months on new machines to boost productivity.
It plans a further £0.5 million investment this year and has said it aims to hit turnover of £18 million in 2020.
