Turnover boost sends px surging in list of top performers

Stockton based engineering and energy company px has leapt 119 places in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 list of the UK’s best performing private, middle market firms.
Last year the firm achieved 235th place on the annual table. This year, sales successes saw it rocketing to 106th overall.
CEO Geoff Holmes stated: said: “This is further evidence of our successful growth strategy, which is driven by the leadership, commitment and skill of our people across the business.
During the last financial year reported, px achieved a turnover increase of 70% to £230.7 million and saw profits rise by one third to £6.6 million.
It operates major gas processing plants and pipelines at sites including Aberdeen, Teesside and the North Sea, plus power generating operations on Teesside, in Cumbria, Lincolnshire and in Wales.
It also owns and provides support services to partners at Saltend Chemical Park in Hull and its E24 energy trading division manages energy buying and selling on behalf of clients.
