Schneider scores two repeat wins for sustainability once again
21 Jan 2020
Schneider Electric has once more made it on to two of the most prestigious ‘clean company’ lists in recognition of its commitment to sustainable practice.
The firm made the Corporate Knights’ Global 100 list for the seventh successive year, qualifying from a list of 7,500 firms worldwide for the shortlist determined by 21 key performance indicators.
Its performance was particularly strong this year as it finished top of its respective category and within the top third of winning companies, in 29th place.
Schneider also achieved inclusion for the ninth year on the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) A-list of 179 companies picked for their commitment to the development of a low-carbon economy.
Schneider Electric CEO and chairman Pascal Tricoire commented:
“At Schneider Electric, our commitment to carbon neutrality is weaved into our business decisions and governance. However, we all need to do more and faster. The recognition of our efforts by both the CDP and Corporate Knights is a very positive step and gives us a boost.”
“The climate emergency and the related management of economic risks are our generation’s biggest challenge. We must rethink the way we live with energy, the way we design buildings, industries and cities, and leverage technology to embark on a different path to a net zero carbon world.”
