ECITB prepares to expand its global training reach

UK Government-sponsored skills body the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) announceed plans to expand its overseas operations to meet international demand for engineering training with the launch of ECITB Global.
ECITB training has equipped thousands of workers with the skills to work safely and effectively on engineering sites around the world. ECITB Global seeks to improve the delivery of energy and infrastructure projects.
International operations have grown steadily too with a network of 42 licenced training providers operating in 25 countries in three core regions - The Middle East, East Africa and South East Asia. ECITB Global looks to extend the reach of the international business into new territories such as Central and Southern Asia.
ECITB head of commercial Tristan Kemp, said: “We are confident that our training is geared towards meeting current and future needs of the industry and we are ready to expand that offer further into new markets, whether that is within engineering construction or entirely new sectors.”
ECITB Global will build on the ECITB's training and testing reputation to meet the wider needs of projects in sectors including oil and gas, power, renewable energy, nuclear, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, shipbuilding and all other construction projects including new build and transportation networks.
