March May Ltd will be showing off their newly designed and made in Britain Portable Pumping Unit (PPU) at the upcoming ChemUK expo in September 2021 (Stand E30).
The PPU range will comprise of a series of standard portable carry frames fitted with different magnetic drive chemical pumps from several of the March May product ranges. The sturdy carry frame is made from Polypropylene plastic. The portability of the pump set gives users flexibility of use on their pumping needs.
The standard specification will be based on their premium pump range, the TE Series using pump models TE-7 and TE-10 and will be primarily intended for the safe and easy loading or unloading of dangerous chemicals from IBC containers.
The PPU comes standard with a Polypropylene drip tray that can be placed under the suction or discharge hose couplings when disconnecting the pipes from the pump. It makes compliance with strict Environmental and Health and Safety legislation/policies much easier in these hazardous chemicals transfer applications.
The largest unit has a pump discharge size of 2 inches, gives a maximum Head 33.5m and a maximum Flow rate of 650 L/min. There is a choice of single or three phase electric motors. The standard control panel fitted on the frame will allow manual start/stop of the pump as well as a mobile phone app using Wi-Fi that allows remote control of the pump. each unit comes standard with a ball valve fitted in the discharge port to allow flow rate control, quick release cam-lock male couplings fitted in the pump ports, and 5m electrical power supply cable fitted with a heavy duty three pin single phase plug or three phase industrial power connector plug.
Optional extras available are castor wheels for the frame, longer cable lengths, a Drytek pump control panel that has built in dry-run pump protection using cos-phi power monitoring, female cam-lock connections for the hoses to connect onto, hoses, and various other pumps from our magdrive pump ranges enabling March May to meet the customer requirements and to make it safe and easy for the user.
