PIA Awards show pumps industry is back in business

The best known brands in the UK pumps sector were back in force for the long-awaited Pumps Industry Awards.
Postponed several times during the last two years owing to the Covid lockdown, the latest event was titled the 2020/21 PIA Awards by host, the British Pumps Manufacturers’ Association and organisers Touchwave Media.
First award Product of the Year was again sponsored by Process Engineering, with the winner this time being Sulzer’s XJ900 submersible dewatering pump.
Process Engineering commercial head Tracey Greenfield presented the award to Sulzer representatives with guest presenter Philippa Forrester.
Process Engineering publisher Sean Marshall said the event’s return was welcome after a difficult year for the sector. He said sponsoring Product of the Year affirmed the publication’s commitment to commercial innovation in the industry.
