Babcock Wanson heralds Euro drive with trio of acquisitions
5 Feb 2023
Babcock Wanson Group has acquired European firms Parat and PBS Power, bringing its total continental acquisitions since 2022 to three.
The purchases come soon after the takeover of the Italian Donau Carbon Technologies in October.
Norwegian company Parat specialises in high voltage boilers while Czechian PBS Power Equipment is a significant force in the central European industrial boiler solutions market.
Flekkefjord-based Parat specialises in industrial and marine boilers, specifically in the area of electrode technology, distributing in Europe and beyond, thus assisting industrial players with their decarbonisation strategies.
Its recent growth areas include electrical grid regulations and the decarbonisation of industrial processes such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and paper manufacturing.
PBS Power Equipment is based in Trebic providing customised solutions to optimise energy consumption and limit environmental impact.
Cyril Fournier-Montgieux, CEO of the Babcock Wanson Group said: "They allow us to strengthen further our market-leading position in Europe while also aiding our target to become the leader in solutions for the decarbonisation of the industrial sector.”
