Envair Technology subsidiary, flexible containment specialist ONFAB, has appointed Francis Dechoux as its new European Business Lead. He will support ONFAB’s continuing growth within the pharmaceutical industry focussing on key European territories, including France, Germany, and Spain.
Renewable chemistry technology firm Avantium NV has announced the nominations of INEOS group technology director and head of investor relations Peter Williams to its supervisory board, with a formal proposal at its May AGM. Lanxess head of advanced industrial intermediates business unit Dirk Van Meirvenne is also nominated.
Engineering biology pioneer Ingenza has appointed Dr Ian Shott as executive chairman. Presently executive chairman of science advisory and investment firm Shott Trinova, Shott has 35 years’ experience in global life science and biotechnology. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation Arcinova, which was sold to Quotient Sciences in 2021. He also founded chemical development and manufacturing service firm Excelsyn, sold to AMRI in 2010 and held several positions with companies including AstraZeneca.
Optimal Industrial Technologies has appointed Fredrick Okaroh as business development manager to help guide digital transformation for clients in Europe. The firm hopes to profit from demand for its software, synTQ, and its support for adoption of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) as an enabler for smart manufacturing. Okaroh has wide expertise in real-time data processing and analytics.
Euchner UK Limited has appointed of Mark Tsang as machinery safety consultant. Managing Director UK&Ireland David Dearden commented: “He has an extensive portfolio of qualifications covering DSEAR, ATEX, PED and PSSR; combined with expert witness writing and 20+ years’ experience of training and mentoring in engineering consulting.” Dearden added the appointment reflected the fact that with the introduction of new standards, frequent amendments to legislation and the advances in safety technology, including UKCA marking and PUWER inspections, many companies choose to outsource their machinery safety services requirements.
