Airswift acquisition hints at O&G jobs’ growth in popularity

Airswift has announced its purchase of Worley’s global recruitment and contractor management business, Energy Resourcing.
The move is noteworthy given that Airswift recently noted that, overall, petrochemical employers noted greater job satisfaction but also increased interest in the oil and gas industry among those looking for career changes.
Airswift chief executive Janette Marx said: “We’re in growth mode and acquiring Energy Resourcing represents a fantastic step forward for Airswift. It allows us to supercharge our expansion by growing our global footprint and enlarging our already-unrivalled candidate database for clients. We’re also delighted that it further strengthens our relationship with Worley, already one of our most valued partners.
“Critically, the Energy Resourcing team shares our commitment to continual improvement and an ambition to be the best workforce solutions provider in our sectors. These shared cultural values perfectly equip us to not only ensure a seamless transition into our business but to more effectively scale our offering to clients over the years to come.”
A statement from Wood added the acquisition would create a combined workforce expertise and access to over 1.7 million professionals across 70 countries. It also permitted expansion to a broader range of both industries and locations, including an enhanced presence across the United Kingdom.
Airswift said it would integrate Energy Resourcing into its existing brand, systems and processes and confirm the new management team shortly.
Energy Resourcing MD Ryan Hill commented: “This is a hugely exciting move for all of us at Energy Resourcing…we’ll be able to provide our clients with superior access to a global pool of talent, more diverse workforce solutions and more sophisticated support and systems from the wider Airswift community.”
