Status Instruments' new MEDACS 2000 series of DIN-rail mounted conditioners boast many new developments resulting from three years' R&D effort.
Aimed at large processing plants, systems integrators and specialist panel builders, the MEDACS modules can be bussed together without complicated and expensive backplane wiring.
Standard gateway modules also allow interfacing with proprietary bus systems such as Ethernet, Profibus and others.
To increase the flexibility of the MEDACS modules, Status has developed a Transfer Function Module Library (TFML) which is embedded in each unit. TFML inserts a transfer function between the input and output to provide a special control function - giving the customer the ability to configure the units for unusual applications directly within the signal conditioner.
