The buzz words of the moment being 'softlogic control', it is no surprise that the hardware side of this should be well represented at InControl. If you must control a process with a PC, then it makes sense to use one that's specially made for the job. A typical example can be found on the stand of Quick Controls (297 on enquiry card), who will have on show updated and upgraded versions of its existing 10.4in and 14in industrial Touch PCs (TPC). New to the company's product range is the Maestro PC, claimed to offer the size advantages of the laptop with the security of the desktop machine. Also on display by Quick will be a comprehensive range of intelligent MMIs (man machine interfaces).
