The combination of barrel heater and insulating jacket which recently won a Queen's Award for Environmental Achievement, is now commercially available. The Insul-Watt from Exotherm is capable of heating a machine with around 25 per cent less watt density than that of an uninsulated band. Exotherm claims that Insul-Watt could have a significant effect on your business, saving up to 45 per cent in production energy costs allowing payback within months of installation.
