Borden facility

Portasilo has supplied a urea prill handling and storage facility for Borden Chemical at its resin manufacturing plant in Stirlingshire. The finished facility has four 260m3 stainless steel silos as shown in the picture. Each silo has trapezoidal cladding to prevent condensation. Due to the exceptionally hygroscopic nature of the urea the silos are dehumidified to prevent moisture build up.
