4x4in rotary vane pumps are streamlined

George Meller has introduced a new upgraded Blackmer pump. The established 4x4in rotary vane positive displacement pump, previously only available in cast iron, is now available in ductile iron, matching the firm's 6in, 8in and 10in Blackmer HXL pumps.
The upgrade, known as the X4B-N offers enhanced low temperature resilience and higher tensile strength, so meets most refinery requirements. It is manufactured in ASTM 536 ductile iron.
Blackmer X pumps have mechanical seals with 'heavy duty' external bearings and are suitable for viscosities to 10,000centipoise and pressure differentials to 8bar.
Non-metallic vane option and mechanical efficiency make the range suitable for low viscosity and volatile fluids, Meller claims.
