Flexicon cuts dust pollution with self-sealing tipper
15 Jan 2000
Flexicon now has a drum discharging system that self-seals to prevent fine dust emission.
Throughout lifting and tipping, the drum is sealed by a cone shaped interface seated against the vessel rim preventing emissions.
The system operates by advancing the drum on a roller conveyor and hydraulically raising it sealed with the discharge cone. The drum is then inverted until the discharge spout penetrates the inlet port on the hopper lid. From the hopper, material is elevated via a Flexicon spiral conveyor.
