Chem Resist has answer to zirconium
15 Jan 2000
A leading UK manufacturer of high quality inorganic fine chemicals approached Chem Resist to find a material and a method of construction to stand up to the demands of zirconium slurries.
The conditions included aggressive and hot mixtures of sulphuric, hydrochloric and nitric acids, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and caustic soda. Chem Resist's spiral wind method of manufacturing thermoplastic cylinders enables the design of vessels and equipment that could not previously be considered using straight thermoplastic.
