Stork delivers big chill
15 Jan 2000
Temperature and moisture control hire company Aggreko has taken delivery of 12 Fre-Flow 150-290 pumps from Stork Pumps, part of Johnson Pumps, after visiting the supplier at the PE 97 show.
The Fre-Flow pumps at up to 2,000l/min. To aid ease of use and mobility each pump is mounted in a galvanised space framework fabricated at Stork's Crawley plant.
As well as providing protection and enabling simple fork lift truck lifting, the frames enable easy storage of the pumps. Aggreko will be using the pumps in its fluid chillers and air conditioning systems.
Aggreko hire air conditioning systems using air handlers from 50kW to 500kW and fluid chillers from 50kW to 1500kW that can control temperatures in the range -25 degrees C to 20 degrees C or greater if the units are attached in parallel.
'We are delighted that a modest investment resulted in this excellent order,' said Peter Staddon, md of Stork Pumps in the UK. 'Our pumps are an integral part of Aggreko's equipment.'
