Vortex sheds maintenance

Maintenance-free volumetric flow measurement of gases, liquids and steam at process temperatures from -40 degrees to 260 degreesC is offered by Endress+Hauser's latest model in its Prowirl range of vortex-shedding meters.
Available in wafer and flanged versions, the Prowirl 77 features an arrangement of sensor and cast-in-place bluff body, without holes or gaps, that allows the meter to handle dirty flows.
Prices start at £880 for 15 and 25mm units, offering what E+H claims is a real alternative to traditional techniques such as differential pressure and turbine meters.
