Weighing up the piping process

Plastic pipe manufacturer Wavin Plastics has improved the product quality from its Chippenham, Wilts, factory with the help of electronic silo weighing systems supplied by Applied Weighing.
The installation of 53 Safe Mount and Baby Safe Mount load cell assemblies under PVC granule storage silos has given Wavin much tighter control over its production processes. Weight information is provided via Safe Mount cells and panel-mounted Task 120 weigh controllers. Mark Barton, of sub-contractor Barton Fabrications, said: 'we were very impressed with the design of the new Baby Safe Mount.'
