Take a view of the process over the web
15 Jan 2000
With WebView software, users of GE Fanuc's Cimplicity control and monitoring HMI package can extend access to the system's plant views to remote sites using standard, unmodified web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
When using WebView, all Cimplicity software processing takes place on the server, so the client computer needs only a browser to display the same process visualisation graphics as the server.
Concurrent user licensing is also maintained on the server - as soon as a user has finished accessing the system, that licence is freed up for the next user.
