Diastar, the new range of pneumatically actuated diaphragm valves from George Fischer, has won the top design prize of the Hanover Design Forum.
A major safety feature of the Diastar's design is the preloaded compression springs, which allow the actuator to be dismantled in situ for routine maintenance without endangering the operator.
The valves are available in sizes from 20 to 160mm DIN (1/2 to 6in nb) and in a wide variety of body and diaphragm materials.
