Grosvenor's Pygme grows into a Pyxel
15 Jan 2000
Grosvenor Pumps has introduced the new Pyxel range of oil supported diaphragm pumps intended for chemical dosing. Pyxels are based on the established Pygme pump which the company will continue to produce.
The electrically-driven Pyxel is designed to deliver doses of concentrated chemicals at low flow rates. It may be specified in a range of materials of construction to cope with diverse throughput.
A range of sizes offers flowrates from 5-50l/h with 13:1 turndown ratio at up to 30bar. The dosing valve balls can be specified in glass, PTFE, stainless steel or ceramics. Head materials are also variable.
The Pyxel's key modification over the Pygme is its IP-55 rated motor's stroke adjuster, which allows the 13:1 turndown.
The Pyxel is primarily intended for the chemical process and water treatment industries, but would suit many other dosing applications, the company claims.
