Thermocouple's kingsize venturi

Thermocouple Instruments has recently completed its largest classical venturi to date, for delivery to a fertiliser company in Ireland. The 800mm diameter, 3.3m long stress-relieved 304 stainless steel venturi weighed in at close to half a tonne and is shown here undergoing pressure test at TI's factory near Cardiff.
Although better known for temperature measurement products, TI also produces primary flow elements such as orifice plates and carriers, venturis, pitots and nozzles.
