Bonner hoists the standard
Peter Bonner, director of standards at the British Standards Institute, is to become vice-president of the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), in charge of technical matters. He will chair the CEN technical board, and represent the committee at the European Commission on technical policy issues. Bonner's three-year term starts in January, but 'to ensure a smooth handover' he will share the post with its current holder, Bernard Vaucelle, until December.
