InControl offers data acquisition by any other name

If exhibitions are about anything, it's data acquisition. Normally, that's information on the myriad products on show around the exhibition hall. At a control show, it also means data acquisition per se, and InControl is no exception.
National Instruments (294 on enquiry card), for instance, is featuring a new version of its Lookout software. Now compatible with any OPC (OLE for process control) server, Lookout is also compatible with NI-DAQ driver software, giving a choice of PC-based interfaces.
Other National Instruments products are being shown by Brill Engineering (295), including the Scada package BridgeView and a highly flexible, portable and configurable data acquisition system called FlexyDaq.
Another company offering a range of manufacturers' products is Labdata (296). Featured will be data loggers from Icespy, including radio transmitting, hard-wired and self-contained units for temperature, humidity and voltage.
