PP licence for Egyptian plant

Targor, the Hoechst/BASF polypropylene joint venture, has granted a licence to privately-held Egyptian petrochemicals firm MAS for its Novalen gas-phase technology. MAS plans to build a 150,000tpa plant in Suez to produce PP homopolymers, scheduled for start-up in 2002.
