Weir Group continues buying spree

Weir Group has acquired Flowguard, the UK manufacturer of pulsation dampers. The deal is Weir's second valve acquisition recently and follows the purchase of SEBIM Holding, a French valve and actuator manufacturer.
Flowguard is the UK's market leader in pulsation damper devices for removing pulsations, vibrations and noise caused by positive displacement pumps.
Weir claims Flowguard, based at New Mills, Stockport, will complement the activities of its valve-making operations.
