Rockwell visitors can test sensors
15 Jan 2000
Visitors to the new Rockwell Automation website can 'test-drive' the company's Allen-Bradley sensor range by down-loading a series of multimedia animations. The facility is the first deployment of the 'Shockwave' animation application, claims Rockwell.
The presentations show the operation of the Allen-Bradley safety switches, clear object detectors and photoelectric and capacitive proximity switches. The site gives a preview of the presentation. Site visitors whose browser is not fitted with the Shockwave application can also download it.
The presentations should help Rockwell's customers choose which products are best suited to their needs, says presence sensing product manager Neil Hamer.
'Downloadable multimedia presentations make the process of understanding and choosing Allen-Bradley sensor products as convenient as possible.'
