ABB sets out its stall with Pavilion

Under the terms of a strategic technology and sales alliance between the two companies, ABB Industrial Systems will embed the production chain optimisation software of Pavilion Technologies into its automation systems and products.
The major components of Pavilion's optimisation suite enable users to learn, predict, control and optimise continuous processes within a unified software environment.
Anyone buying ABB's information management products will now have access to Pavilion's Insights technology, which will allow them to perform data mining and off-line simulation.
The additional soft sensor, control and optimisation functionality of the embedded Pavilion products can be subsequently activated for an upgrade fee.
