Temperature on the right rails
15 Jan 2000
With a choice of three IP66 sensors, Ircon's InfraRail non-contact temperature measuring system can be mounted on a DIN-rail for easy movement to any position along the process line. It can be used from 375 degrees C to 3000 degrees C and has an accuracy of 0.75 per cent of full scale. Typical applications are in furnaces and induction heating systems, along with the steel and glass industries.
The thermometer combines a signal conditioner and two-wire transmitter in a modular housing.
The sensors include the Type E, a fixed-focus device; the Type S single-lens-reflex model where precise focus and aiming are essential; and the Type F miniature optic fibre sensor with focusing lens.
