Celebrating a centenary of tubemaking by former companies, Sterling Tubes - now part of the Sandvik Group - has just completed a £3.5million investment in new plant and equipment at its stainless steel tube plant in Walsall. The major part of the investment is a cold pilger machine that can produce over 1million metres of the 25-38mm seamless tubing per year.
