Tetra Pak tastes the exotic
15 Jan 2000
Rubicon, who until now out-sourced the packaging of its guava, mango and other exotic fruit drinks, is setting up its own facility in Tredegar, South Wales.
Rubicon's still juice drink business has been growing at an average 20 per cent for the last ten tears and the new plant allows the company to control its own production, capitalise on its market position and expand into other products, says the company.
The principal Tetra Pak processing equipment being installed consists of a Tetra Alblend, a Tetra Therm Aseptic (TA) Drink pasteuriser and a Tetra Alcip for CIP cleaning together with packaging equipment consisting of a Tetra Brik Aseptic TBA/8 filling machine for packaging one litre cartons and a TBA/9 filler for filling `ready-to-drink portion packs'.
