Severe fines for vitamin cartel

Roche and BASF have been fined a total of $725million by a US court for their involvement in a cartel which rigged vitamins prices and market shares for nine years. Roche bears the brunt of the fines, paying $500million; a former executive of the company, Kuno Sommer, will to go to jail for four months and pay $100,000 in personal fines.
