Alfa's high-speed disc separator suits starch
15 Jan 2000
Alfa Laval Separation's new range of high speed disc-stack separators, including a nozzle separator launched at June's Achema exhibition in Frankfurt, has been developed specifically for duties in the starch industry and is particularly suited to use in medium sized plants.
In common with the other starch machines in the Alfa Laval Separation range, the new separator is available in three versions and can be readily converted from one configuration to another, depending on the eventual duty. It is this flexibility that makes the separator so versatile, enabling it to be used for a wide range of applications including pre-concentration, fractionation, dewatering and protein concentration.
