From temperature to pressure to flow to

If you want to be 'in control' you need to measure basic process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow and level. From Status Instruments (enter 292 on enquiry card), for example, there is the new smart universal temperature transmitter, the SEM 210, and the brand-new addition to the company's SEM 1,000 series, the SEM 1100 mains-powered process isolator and signal converter.
The SEM 210 is a 'second generation' transmitter, accepting any commonly used sensor, slidewire transducer or millivolt signal and converting the output to 4-20mA.
Another company using InControl as a launch venue is British Rototherm (293) with its DigiGauges. These digital pressure gauges (pictured above) combine the tried and tested dial gauge mechanical principles, with microprocessor-controlled electronics. All the DigiGauges feature high-stability sensors designed for direct process contact.
