Following intensive lobbying by EU producers of seamless tubing, the European Commission has imposed provisional antidumping duties on tube imports from the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Russia. Between them, these four countries have since 1993 more than tripled their exports to EU states, at `predatory low prices' with cuts ranging between 17.5 and 43 per cent of EC producers' prices.
