Almond oil option for Status device
15 Jan 2000
PTX24 two-wire pressure transmitters have a long term stability figure of +/-0.2 per cent and accuracy of 0.1 per cent to give consistent repeatable readings throughout long periods of use, according to Status Instruments.
The CE-certified PTX24 comes in ranges from 100mbar to 1000bar. Gauge or absolute pressure versions may be specified. The transmitter's piezoresistive measuring element is enclosed in an oil-filled stainless steel housing. Pressure acting on the diaphragm is transmitted through the fluid, which can be silicone oil, or in hygienic models, sweet almond oil.
Degradation caused by extreme pressures is avoided at up to three times the full scale protection, and a 1500bar high burst pressure option is available.
