EUREKA! Britain's a success

The British chairmanship of the EU collaborative research initiative, EUREKA, which finished in June, has been a notable success, according to science minister John Battle. Over the past year, procedures have been established to allow European companies to use EUREKA to link up with non-European partners; the links between the scheme and the Framework programmes have been strengthened; and Romania has joined the initiative.
