Chemicals productivity boost

Chemical industry productivity in the UK has increased by £9650-worth of sales per employee in the past year, according to market analysts at Plimsoll Publishing. Average industry productivity was £143000 sales per employee, compared with £50240 for non-chemical industry. Gains have come from companies cutting back their workforces, says Plimsoll.
