Removing rust without acids

BetzDearborn's Ferroquest iron deposit remover uses non-acid reagents to both remove rust deposits and protect metals from further corrosion, the company says.
Ferroquest has neutral pH, and does not generate hydrogen, says BetzDearborn. It will also not damage the glass lining of reaction vessels, and it passivates metal surfaces to prepare them for corrosion protectoon.
