Nova bids for Shell businesses

Canada's Nova Chemicals has posted a US$200million bid for Royal Dutch/Shell's polystyrene businesses. The move would greatly enhance Nova's presence in Europe, doubling its PS capacity - it bought two PS plants, in the UK and France, from Huntsman last year. Shell is currently auctioning several chemicals units, and is awaiting further bids for the PS business.
