Zeneca invests in fungicide
15 Jan 2000
A new plant to formulate and package Zeneca's hoped-for blockbuster fungicide, Amistar, is to be built at the company's international manufacturing site at Grangemouth. Costing some £17million, the plant will formulate the fungicide as a concentrated liquid; some 90% of its output will be exported. Meanwhile, a $17.5million plant to make one of Amistar's key intermediates, 2-cyanophenol, has come on-stream at Cold Creek, Alabama.
