Higher accuracy thermocouples
15 Jan 2000
Anville Instruments has extended the range of its Series 420 temperature logger to provide higher accuracy and stability for type T thermocouple measurements for the food and pharmaceutical industries, while still offering full facilities for low-cost data acquisition, recording and alarm monitoring.
The Series 420/TC has direct type T thermocouple inputs via compensated connectors, eliminating cold junction errors and enabling the instrument to measure type T inputs over a range from 2100 degrees to 200 degreesC with a system accuracy of +/-0.25degC and a resolution of 0.01degC.
The system is supplied complete, the only extras needed being the sensors and a PC. Software selection of the sensors automatically configures the Series 420 with the correct signal conditioning.
Said to be much more flexible than a chart recorder and much simpler to set up than a PC plug-in card, the Series 420 gives all the advantages of computerised data display, data handling and datalogging in a compact unit.
