Resin to be cheerful
15 Jan 2000
KCH Keramchemie has introduced a two-coat resin based coating system, Ceilcote 387 Hybricote, which it claims can impart chemical resistance to equipment ranging from aircraft to pharmaceutical plants.
The coating is a hybrid resin system, applied at a thickness of around a millimetre. KCH claims it is `fully resistant' to aggressive substances such as methylene chloride, tertrhydrofuran, n-methyl pyrrolidinone and acetone, as well as acids, alkalis and organic solvents. It achieves this performance because it attains a high degree of cross-linking, it explains.
