Microsoft gains process foothold

The Microsoft Corporation has joined the Manufacturing Execution Systems Association of Europe (MESA), the body set up to educate the manufacturing industry in how to use information technology. The company joined because so many manufacturers use its Windows NT operating system and the SQL Server package, it says.
