Hazardous area level sensing

The Microtel magnetostrictive level transmitter from Magnetrol is said to be ideally suited for use in hazardous areas where intrinsic safety or explosion-proof equipment is required.
The two-wire, loop-powered transmitter is based on the Wiedemann effect. Magnetrol says this technology ensures a high linearity of +0.035 per cent/0.8mm, which is unaffected by varying dielectric constant, conductivity or pressure.
