Krauss-Maffei spins out its core centrifuges
15 Jan 2000
On stand D8/E16 in Hall 5, Krauss-Maffei is showing improvements to its range of centrifuges and process automation systems for the pharmaceutical, chemical, fine chemical, foodstuffs and starch industries.
The developments shown three years ago at the last Achema - the HZ Ph peeler centrifuge, the SFZ inverting filter centrifuge, and the MT mixer-dryer - have all been proven in operation and meet customer demands for validation, hold-up, cleaning (CIP), sterilisation (SIP), inspection, contamination-free and surface finish.
The modular design pusher centrifuges with mechanical or hydraulic drives are particularly easy to maintain, while their improved feed systems have considerably increased production capacity.
Still the flagship of Krauss-Maffei, the HZ 180/7.1 Si is in operation worldwide on high capacity duties both in the chemical and particularly the starch industries.
