The future of gas analysis?
15 Jan 2000
Ever stringent legal requirements on emissions from power plants, incinerators, refineries and other process plant have led to the development of stack gas analysers with increased sensitivity.
Procal Analytics has responded to these developments with an instrument that not only meets present low level monitoring requirements, but also projected requirements over the foreseeable future. The company has achieved this with its full spectrum Procal 5000 on-stack monitor.
The 5000 uses Procal's own in-situ enveloped folded beam sample cell, incorporating full auto-zero and auto-calibration. Designed specifically to meet legislation such as US EPA 40 CFR part 75, the instrument is a standalone stack-mounted unit that needs only mains power and instrument air. All measured gas emission data is transmitted, using an RS485 link, to a computer running Procal's 'Analyser Control for Windows' software.
