`Reliability-centred maintenance' (RCM) enhancements to Marcam Solutions' Avantis.XA enterprise asset management system will allow users to improve process reliability, it claims. The system can be used to identify underperforming assets and track and analyse capital expenditures.
New features include inventory and purchasing control. Users can also follow the product life-cycle of their capital-intensive machinery, and can use this information to determine the most cost-effective time to carry out repairs or to replace a component.
